People ask me often which are the trendy places to dine and wine in Amsterdam. This blog changes often as these trends change all the time. Though this page is under construction it can guide you already to a good place to eat. Well, these are my favorite places to go for a lovely diner, lunch or in between snacks in Amsterdam.

2. Loetje Oost
Go to Loetje for you morning coffee, lunch, diner or just a bite.I eat an amazing steak and a fantastic salad at this place. Loetje has a great menu, they serve clubsandwiches, foccaccia’s, salads, vegetarian dishes and daily soup, all yummie yummie, very tasty. Loetjes speciality is the dessert “Sticky Toffee”. Do you like sweet? This dessert is healty, sweet and made of dates with fresh whipped cream, it surpasses all your expectations. Loetje Oost is located between Amstel and Wibautstraat. When the weather is nice spend some time at the terrasse. Inside is nicely decorated and the staff is very friendly. Great place to be.

Loetje at the IJ marina – NDSM
Maybe you know, but I really like NDSM harbour, so how could I not tell you about Loetje at the IJ on NDSM yard.
Same delicious menu. I recommend the steak.

7. CT Coffee & coconuts
Best place in Amsterdam for breakfast, lunch, meetings and laptopsessies. Nice big place, you can stay for hours just drinking your coffee or eat a nice bowl of yogurt. Good prices.

This old ferry is a great restaurant. The ferry was build in 1927. Until the late nineties the ferry was used to transport pedestrians and motor vehicles over the IJ. After this time it was sold and finely ended up as old scrap. Saved from demolition Pont 13 was converted into a bar – restaurant . The concept was a success . In October 2005 Pont 13 opened its doors . Since April 2010 Pont 13 has a permanent berth in the Western Houthavens .

Great location, just across Oosterpark and Tropenmuseum. They serve a large diversity of beers and other beverages. Beer is served manly at large beer tables outside on the terrace. Drink nice beers and eat the tastiest burger in town, thats what people say about De Biertuin. They also serve a good chicken at the spit. You can’t make reservation, so be early if you want a good table.
