Next door to the Foodhallen is the Filmhallen with nine atmospheric and spacious cinemas. Deviating from the traditional black box principle, eight of these rooms are decorated with tapestries and patterns that reflect the multicultural character of the neighborhood. Cinema room 7 is called the Parisienroom. Cinema Parisien has existed in Amsterdam since 1910. The interior of this cinema has been moved several times. The authentic Art Deco wall panels have been displayed for years in the Film Museum in the Vondelpark and are now there are placed in room 7 of the Filmhallen. The interior has been placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Wonders of the World.

When you say Loetje you say “Amazing Steak”. I for own love to go to Restaurant Loetje. In the Netherlands, there are more than 25 Loetje restaurants. Go to a Loetje restaurant for your morning coffee, lunch, dinner, or just a bite., for me, the main reason to go to Loetje is to eat a steak. Beside steaks Loetje has a great menu, they serve club sandwiches, focaccia, salads, vegetarian dishes, and daily soup, all yummy and very tasty.
Another Loetjes specialty is the dessert “Sticky Toffee”. Do you like sweets? This dessert is healthy, sweet, and made of dates with fresh whipped cream, it surpasses all your expectations. Nice restaurant, with delicious Surinamese food, good prices, nice music, and friendly staff. Come and enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the terrace with a view of the Singelgracht in Amsterdam. Wonderful Surinamese atmosphere. Great beer cart. If you feel adventurous, order a sublime Bird of Prey, this is all you need to start off with, and the adventures will follow subsequently. One of the most precious IPAs, or India Pale Ales if you will. This is a hoppy and yet kick-in-the-face fresh beer, with an ABV percentage of 5.8%. I for one LOVE this beer.

A cozy restaurant in a nice area in Amsterdam called “The Pijp”. In addition to a nice drink, you can dine here until the late hours. Spanish bites, affordable bubbles, and the occasional fireworks. Tip: order the original “Can Paixano” cava, imported from the renowned Champagneria in Barcelona. This is definitely a nice place for a drink and to enjoy some Spanish Tapas.

7. CT Amsterdam | Coffee & Coconuts
Best place in Amsterdam for Coffee – Food – Cocktails.
Coffee and Coconuts otherwise referred to as CT Amsterdam. I recommended this all-day hotspot, especially the early breakfast, it’s great but you have to order before 13.00. Breakfast, lunch, meetings, and laptop sessions. Nice big place, you can stay for hours just drinking your coffee or eating a nice bowl of yogurt. Good prices.

8. Pont 13
This old ferry is a great restaurant. The ferry was built in 1927. Until the late nineties, the ferry was used to transport pedestrians and motor vehicles over the IJ. After this time it was sold and finely ended up as old scrap. Saved from demolition Pont 13 was converted into a bar-restaurant. The concept was a success. In October 2005 Pont 13 opened its doors. Since April 2010 Pont 13 has had a permanent berth in the Western Houthavens.

9. De Biertuin
De Biertuin is a great spot located just across Oosterpark and the renewed Tropenmuseum. They offer a wide variety of beers and other beverages. Beer is primarily served at large beer tables outside on the terrace. People claim that you can enjoy the tastiest burger in town while sipping on a nice beer here. They also serve good chicken at the spit. Keep in mind that they don’t take reservations, so it’s best to arrive early if you want a good table.
