Castle Keukenhof in the middle of Keukenhof tulip fields

By Joop on 29 March 2022 Castles in the Netherlands

Near the flower park Keukenhof, you find the beautiful Castle the Keukenhof. Castle Keukenhof is situated opposite the impressive garden called Keukenhof. In the Castle, you find magnificent art treasures. The Chinese and Japanese porcelain e.g. is shown in the 17th-century style and exhibited in a unique and specially built cabinet, with an exuberant chimney. But let’s forget the Castle for a moment and focus on tulips.  Plan your visit to Holland carefully if you want to see blossoming tulips in the Keukenhof and the endless tulip fields along the western coast near the villages Lisse, Hillegom, and Schagen in the north. When you are struck by flower power the best time to visit Holland is between April 15 and May 15. Undoubtedly, and not only because of the tulip season this is the best time of the year to visit Holland.

The restoration of Keukenhof Castle has recently been completed. The castle garden is freely accessible and only a small amount is asked to visit the castle. So if you like to take a look inside this castle, that’s possible! Special opening days are open Monument day and Heritage Days on Castle Day. It’s really a special location and fun to visit.

Event Coach House

Under the name cultural castle, a concert evening is organized once a month in the evening hours on a Tuesday in the coach house of the castle. The concerts are of a high class, they are performances by very talented classically trained musicians Check the agenda for the event dates and buy a ticket in time.

Visit Castle the Keukenhof
Address: Keukenhof 1, 2161 AN Lisse.
Reservation for the restaurants and tours in the Castle: 031 (0)252 750 690
